Anyway, though -- thanks. I think I might try to talk to one of her shinki next time there's an event. If something is wrong in the household, they'd know, and I wouldn't have to just sit and worry about it.

How have you and Kazuma been doing? Everything okay with you guys?

I'll try to see if I can get any more information out of Fujin, Raijin or Suijin. I'm sure there's something else they can tell me. If they've put their guard up around you, I might have better luck.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a worrier or anything! You've been doing this way longer than me, ha ha. With all these disappearances, though, it's hard not to feel like I should check on everybody all the time. You know.

It's a thoughtful gesture and I do appreciate it. Circumstances as they are would worry anyone. Especially when there's a very real fear of disappearing without warning and suddenly being replaced.

[It's his worry, too. They've got so few gods who are really helping them, and Tsuzuki doesn't know if it's putting them on the radar of whoever's doing the replacements. Not interacting with them hasn't saved anybody so far, though.

Amaterasu's said that gods from other parts of the world who've been replaced here have reappeared back home, but that didn't happen with Tsukuyomi when Joshua was gone. I don't know about Susano'o -- that guy wasn't the original, right? -- but he didn't really disappear either.

It's all just a big mess.

[And if it's not happening here, where they can observe it, is it really happening anywhere else? Or is Amaterasu just trying to keep the old gods complacent?]

[ She's had that thought herself but she doesn't care if it's putting her on the radar. In the long run, it'll be better if she has a hand in solving this... if only for the sake of the other gods of fortune and Ebisu's reincarnation.

No, that troublemaker certainly wasn't the original Susano'o. Even Amaterasu confirmed as much. I can only guess how much more chaotic this is going to get in the future.

[Could it be that the replacements are just stepping stones on the way to completely eliminating those gods? Tsuzuki shivers at the thought, staring at his phone.]

I asked what happened to him and Amaterasu did confirm he was placed into custody. Susano'o isn't a lesser god. He's likely to be reincarnated if this one is executed.

[So this isn't going to be a good test case, if he's still alive. Tsuzuki's kind of surprised he survived all that chaos, actually.

And he's going to have to warn Ni about it, if Ni's being careful about which of the guy's notes he turns over and which he doesn't.]

Custody, huh. What about his other shinki? That quiet one -- geez, I don't even know his real name. Susano'o called him Picowatt?

I recall the particular shinki you're talking about. If I can... I have half a mind to ask about him. He'll be given a proper position if I'm allowed to take him in.

[ Poor guy... he deserved a better master than that Susano'o. ]

[Also, maybe, Tsuzuki might be able to ask the poor guy what Susano'o was really up to, other than that last big explosion. It'd sounded like Goku didn't get much attention from him, but Picowatt seemed pretty loyal. Maybe he learned more.]
